I`ve been regularly photographing weddings at Coombe Lodge for four years now. I`ve always enjoyed capturing the way that the light filters in through the windows; never harsh or distracting, it gives a soft glow which bounces off the polished wood and sparkly chandeliers.
I`ve always been very aware that couples seeking a Coombe Lodge wedding photographer look for the very posed, sometimes quite staid, traditional photography. This is understandable as Coombe Lodge`s archways and manicured gardens tend to beg for this style. As a fine art photographer, I strive to shoot using the light and a colour palette. Features of a building or gardens rarely come first when I`m composing and this means thatin turn, I find it easier to tailor my photography to suit your style and personalities, rather than purely suiting the Lodge`s more obvious `photographic opportunities`.
My photography is aimed at a creative/artistic, discerning couple who are marrying at Coombe Lodge for the beauty, space and service that the venue has to offer, and not simply because it`s features beg for posed traditional photography.
