My Photographic Style
A fine-art wedding photographer and film maker, I offer UK-wide and worldwide coverage of beautiful, styled and natural weddings. Based in Somerset, I bring a bit of my country-loving to English Country weddings while adding a timeless relaxed style to city weddings.
I strive to serve and inspire people with my craft. I believe that the greatest work comes from getting to know the passion and purpose of my clients. I would love to meet and hear your creative hopes and dreams.
I have an extensive education in Graphic & Visual Arts and I’m enjoying my seventh year as a wedding photographer (and first as a film maker). I’m a recommended supplier of Almonry Barn, Yarlington Barn and Charlton House wedding venues.
I work with two Canon 5D mark ii cameras and uses L-series prime lenses. And when I’m not working, I like to immerse myself in my Son and Daughter Oscar and Pixie and my husband and in-house designer Nathan, something scrummy from the kitchen, Harry Potter and gardening.
How many weddings do you photograph every month?
I accept a maximum of twenty weddings per year in order to ensure that each wedding is completed to a high level of creativity, with maximum attention to detail. My wedding photography tells a story of each wedding and this can only be achieved when I am able to immerse myself into the details of each individual celebration.
What is your shooting style?
Many of my clients are creative types, looking for photography that reflects this and a style that documents and adds to the overall feel of the day. I shoot continually throughout the day, in a style that tells the story of the day – in an editorial style. My photography is shaped with a colour palette, atmosphere and personality in mind. We will plan a ‘bride & groom only’ shoot to take place at a time suited to the timings of the day and the time of year.
Do you offer a pre-wedding photo shoot?
Each wedding booking includes a complimentary pre-wedding (engagement) shoot. I really encourage you to explore your creative side during this shoot. We can go to a location that suits your style and you may wear what you like – I can advise on this to add to the overall look of the shoot.
When should we expect to receive our photographs?
You will receive a preview gallery containing a selection of your wedding photographs within two weeks. Your photographs at high-resolution on USB will be posted to you within six weeks of the wedding.
Can I book you for my destination wedding?
Absolutely! With each booking, travel within most of England is included. Travel within the rest of the UK and to worldwide destinations will come at an additional cost and this can be included with your initial quote, to ensure that you are clear on these costs.
What photographic equipment do you use?
I use professional equipment to ensure reliability and capture images of the highest quality. I also carry back-ups of each piece of equipment to ensure that everything runs smoothly on the day.
