Jessy and Steve are getting married at Cossington Park later this month, so we took to the beach for an engagement session. The beach was the perfect destination for their shoot; Jessy, a hairstylist, wore soft pastel-tones & floral styled herself a gorgeous wavy down-‘do, while Steve wore classic white-T & jeans, both outfits I always recommend wearing to tie in with my fine-art shooting style. The tones also suit the wedding theme and styling which is why beach locations are my most popular portrait shoot destinations.
Theodora & Raul held a humanist wedding ceremony at Theo’s family home. High tea was served in the gardens, with porschetta and sharing platters served within the tipi-style marquee. Theo & Raul made use of the pretty private woodland behind the house, for some fine-art portraits after high tea.

Alex and Georgie are getting married at Haselbury Mill in Somerset, later this year. For their engagement shoot, I suggested (as I always do) that they bring some personal props; something we can style the shoot around. Georgie brought her hat which, she tells me, is the first hat that has ever suited her! Alex brought his beloved guitar and offered us some mid-shoot light entertainment. The shoot took place on a North Somerset ‘beach’ (I use the term beach lightly; we’re talking about the river Severn, afterall!).
Georgie and Alex’s wedding is styled around rural life, Alex’s family farm being central to the early stages of the day, so I felt that the beach would provide a nice alternative. This particular beach (and it’s nearby woodland) offer a really pretty backdrop which is easy to stamp my fine-art style on.
