Photography has been a constant thread throughout Kerry’s life. Her grandfather was a BBC cameraman and founded the first Carrickfergus Camera Club in the late 40′s. The arrival of Kerry’s first camera (a green ‘Supasnaps’ Snappit) in 1989 sparked a passion in the art and science of photography.
As A graduate of Graphic Design at Plymouth College of Art, Graphic design became the aesthetic, compositional and artistic foundations upon which her photography grew.
After the degree, four years of self-teaching, courses, practice, and reading in the science, art, technique and skill of photography began. A make-shift darkroom in the bathroom, and later in a cupboard satisfied the need to process film and develop prints before digital photography took over. All this practice and dedication gave Kerry the expertise that she devotes to each and every wedding.
