When Jenny got in touch, enquiring about availability and to say that she and her fiancee Neil were coming to England for an Anglo-Chinese ceremony, I couldn’t have been more pleased, not least because I was in the throes of planning my Chinoiserie-inspired styled shoot! Their styling blended traditional Chinese and English wedding details with the English country theme that Jenny so adored. Washi tape and doilies met lace and fairy cakes to create what was a really pretty, rustic ocassion within the barns of Court Farm (in Standerwick, near Frome).
Jenny wanted my fine art photography style firstly because she was keen to capture the day in all it’s soft, pretty glory, and also because, as she mentioned, recent Chinese history is steeped in photography; the Chinese are mad about their cameras and their photography! I loved spending time in the bridal room, capturing all the pretty details Jenny had brought together, including her self-made florals.
